Wine tasting is a must, whether you choose to visit a smaller winery like Amavi Cellars or a larger one like L’Ecole No. 41. Don’t miss out on the slushies either- they’re perfect for those hot summer days. It’s also great to take a stroll through the downtown area and appreciate the sculptures and artwork that adorn the streets. If you want to find souvenirs or fun games to play, there are plenty of shops to explore too.
Visit Marcus Whitman Hotel
While visiting Walla Walla, don’t forget to check out the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Even if you aren’t staying for the night, visiting the lobby is worth it. This hotel opened in 1928 and still preserves much of the original furniture and decor from that time. It’s also an award-winning hotel, currently being named the Hotel of the Year by the Washington State Wine Commission. Plus, it’s the tallest building in Walla Walla, which makes it pretty easy to spot. It’s truly a sight to see!
